Pastoral Care

The clergy, the vestry, and lay helpers at Advent Episcopal Church are Christ’s eyes, ears, arms and legs, heart and soul here on earth. Our mission is to serve to inspire and inspire to serve. In doing this, the clergy and lay helpers work as a team to provide the nurturing support that is Pastoral Care:

  • When someone in your family is near death or has died
  • When someone in your family is ill or has been hospitalized
  • When you or someone in your family is going to have surgery
  • When you are having a crisis of faith or feeling alone
  • When you experience a major life change such as a job loss, a divorce, or any kind of loss
  • When a child is born or an engagement has taken place
  • When someone in your family is departing on or returning from a military deployment
  • When you would like to be added to our prayer list

For any type of Pastoral Care, contact the rector at 757.587.0125 or by email.
