The Episcopal Church of the Advent (or Advent Episcopal for short!) is tucked away near the shore of the Chesapeake Bay in the warmth of the Ocean View community in Norfolk, Virgina.

We pride ourselves on being a place where everyone is welcome! We are an inclusive, Christ-centered community reaching out to all who are seeking their own spiritual path and a relationship with God and with one another.

Our congregation is made up of people of every generation who come from a wide variety of ethniciities and backgrounds from singles to families. We are an open, affirming, and accepting congregation centered on a common faith in Christ.

We are formed and strengthened through a variety of worship services, praise and worship music, traditional hymns, contemplative prayer, spiritual programs, and service to the parish, the community, our country, and indeed...the world.
